Shape Your Future with David Beckmann, The President of Bread for the World

Rev. David Beckmann has been president of Bread for the World and Bread for the World Institute since 1991, which focuses on providing nonpartisan policy analysis on hunger and strategies to end it. He has successfully led large-scale campaigns to strengthen U.S. political commitment to overcome hunger and poverty nationally and globally.

Other than Bread For the World, Beckmann has also founded and is the current president of the Alliance to End Hunger. He received the World Food Prize in 2010 as a celebration for his landmark achievements in building Bread for the World.

David Beckmann is also a Lutheran minister and has a degree from the London School of Economics. He is also an author and his most recent book is Exodus from Hunger: We are Called to Change the Politics of Hunger.
