Dr. Laaser studied medicine in Berlin, Freiburg, Hamburg, and Prague. Since 1989 he has been professor at the University of Bielefeld, Bielefeld School of Public Health and is visiting professor at the Centre School of Public Health and Management in Belgrade. His main interest is in postgraduate public health education, global health, and health policy.
