Deanna is an NYU alumna, but a Cali girl at heart. Born and raised in the Silicon Valley, she has a love for all things tech and media, and has worked at entertainment companies like Showtime Networks, BBC Worldwide America, and Conde Nast Traveler Magazine. Her academic background is in Media, Culture, Communications and Psychology, and she's interested in how technology shapes, influences, and transforms our human interactions. Currently working at a technology innovation company, she is confounded by the gender divide in her industry and advocates strongly for equal opportunity and female empowerment. She also volunteers at her local Wildlife Center to satisfy her love for the planet and cute furry animals.
