Avi Baehr is in her fourth and final year of medical school at the University of Pennsylvania. She previously served as a Health Policy Fellow in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. After receiving her medical degree, Avi will pursue a residency in Emergency Medicine, a field that she is drawn to for its role as a safety net, seeing all patients at all hours of the day regardless of their ability to pay. She received her undergraduate degree in biology and philosophy from Vanderbilt University.
