Summer break is nearly over and your kids are going back to school soon. That means it’s time to start shopping for school supplies and getting ready for classes again.

New stationery, new clothes and a new backpack — what an exciting time for parents and most children! Going out for a shopping spree, the delights of arranging and reorganizing pens, pencils, rulers, notebooks, and so on: It all brings back pleasant memories of one’s childhood.

However, for parents and adults who want to keep it sustainable and functional, it can be a little worrisome as we’re all aware that the school supply aisle is brimming with plastics, lead, glue, and art items containing hazardous substances.

So, instead of the standard go-to’s , try to get them eco-friendly supplies that are good for both the earth and the kids this year.

These are our favorite sustainable must-haves to complete your school bucket list:

VOLVERUP Backpack

With the aim of placing environmental and social sustainability at the centre of the manufacturing process, this is a small, lightweight, waterproof backpack that may also be carried by hand. Also, another plus, the adjustable seat belt straps are large, sturdy, and pleasant, even when the backpack is heavy.
