Suleman Audu is an environmental specialist with extensive expertise in strategic environmental and social impact assessments, as well as environmental policy and legislation. He holds a Master of Science in Urban Water and Sanitation, specializing in Sanitary Engineering, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Water Resources and Environmental Engineering. Since joining The Ocean Cleanup in 2023, he has played a pivotal role in developing strategies to enhance our understanding of the environmental and social impacts of plastic pollution on marine and coastal ecosystems, as well as local communities. He has also collaboratively conducted numerous environmental and social impact assessments and has significantly contributed to the formulation of environmental policies, guidelines, and standards globally.
