Sophia Rettberg, born in England and raised bilingually in Germany, studied Liberal Arts and Sciences for her Bachelors in Maastricht, NL, majoring in sociology and cultural studies. She has a keen interest in research and societal issues in urban contexts. Her first co-authored publication “Living through Gentrification in Amsterdam“ was published in March 2019 in the Journal for Undergraduate Ethnography.
Currently, Sophia is doing her masters in Global Development at Copenhagen University, Denmark, where she is specialising in urban ecosystems and sustainable resource management. In her free time, she likes visiting art exhibitions, singing jazz, playing tennis, and travelling.
