Sean Patrick - Founder of Green Banana Food

Sean grew up in Uganda and later graduated with a master’s degree in Agrarian, Food & environmental studies from the Erasmus Institute for Social Sciences, The Hague, and another Advanced master in International development at Radbound University Nijmegen. Before starting his journey to social entrepreneurship, Sean spent more than 10 years working in the development sector in areas of sustainable agriculture and water and ecological conservation. With his strong position that technology in agriculture is the key to transform African agriculture, he started his first social enterprise; Green Banana Food developing high nutrient gluten free pasta with the East African high land banana (Matooke) as the main raw material. Second to that, he recently launched another food project Veggihap in the Netherlands which takes the imperfect ugly vegetables and transforms them into healthy veggie pasta for the Dutch market. Veggihap is a circular economy opportunity of volarising vegetable waste streams and reducing waste streams.
