Leah Perkinson

Leah grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania but has called North Carolina home for 15 years. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she also earned her Master’s in Public Health. For 15 years, Leah worked for local and state non-profits dedicated to preventing violence against women and girls. Most recently, Leah worked at the federal level and conducted a qualitative study at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The study explored the implementation and adaptation of evidence-based programs. Leah currently provides public health consulting services for an author writing a book about pandemics and for a medical cannabis dispensary in Vermont. She attends the Sustainable Entrepreneurship Master of Business program at the University of Vermont and writes about innovate health start-ups for Impakter.
