Midori Paxton - UNDP Head of Ecosystem and Biodiversity

Midori Paxton is the UNDP Head of Ecosystem and Biodiversity, overseeing a large portfolio of biodiversity conservation and ecosystem management projects in 140 countries.
Previously she provided programming and policy support for countries in Asia from the UNDP Regional Centre in Bangkok, and worked in Namibia with UNDP and the Ministry of Environment and Tourism coordinating the project to strengthen the national protected area system.
She also worked in humanitarian assistance in Somalia and Tanzania, as well as working as a journalist for the Japan Times. Midori is author of six books and hundreds of published photos and articles.
