Megi Tsereteli - Researcher at the One Health Institute at the University of Georgia

Megi Tsereteli, MPH, is a public health professional and researcher specializing in genomics, proteomics, and environmental health. Born in 1994 in Georgia, she earned her Master of Public Health from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. She currently serves as a researcher at
the One Health Institute at the University of Georgia, where she works in the in silico Laboratory of Proteomics and Genomics, contributing to interdisciplinary research at the intersection of computational biology and public health. Since 2021, Tsereteli has been the co-founder and director of the nursing home A(A)IPE “Your Warm Hearth,” reflecting her commitment to community care and social well-being alongside her scientific work. In 2024–2025, she served as an invited lecturer at Tbilisi State Medical University, teaching Environmental Health in the Bachelor’s program of the Faculty of Medicine, while also working as an assistant lecturer in the Master’s program in Public Health. Tsereteli has also contributed to national research and public health initiatives. In 2024, she participated in a project led by the Georgian Agricultural Research Center examining the nutritional characteristics of wheat varieties cultivated in Georgia. In 2023,
she helped organize the national conference “Nutrition and Public Health: Review of the Current Status and Opportunities for Improvement,” hosted by the Georgian Society of Nutritionists, of which she remains an active member.
