Jane Bidder, qualified as a journalist on the Thomson Graduate Training Scheme in Cardiff along with some very well-known BBC names and then went on to write for Drapers Record, Parents and Woman’s Own before turning freelance. While bringing up her children, she wrote regularly for numerous national newspapers and magazines, including The Daily Telegraph Weekend section, The Mail on Sunday and Woman where she wrote a weekly page for ten years. Since 2005, she has had nine romantic novels published by main stream publishers. She has also written short stories for women’s magazines and she appears regularly on radio (Woman’s Hour) and television. Sponsored by the Arts Council and Writers in Prison Network, she ‘turned to crime’ spending three years at a high security male prison as a writer in residence. The result was a three-book deal with Accent Press: ‘Guilty’, ‘The Witness’ and ‘The Victim’, available on Amazon. She is currently working on a psychological suspense novel which is ‘one step on’ from her previous crime books. Jane is a Royal Literary Fund Fellow At Exeter University and a winner of the Elizabeth Goudge Award (2005).
