  • LEGO Opens Sustainable Factory in Vietnam: The Binh Duong facility targets 100% renewable energy by 2026, supporting LEGO’s Asia growth.

Masdar boosts Indonesia’s renewable push with major floating solar projects and PLN partnership

Masdar, UAE’s leading renewable energy firm, signed key agreements with Indonesia’s PLN to develop the Jatigede floating solar plant and expand the Cirata Floating Photovoltaic Power Plant. These initiatives support Indonesia’s 75GW renewable energy goal and 2050 net-zero target. The projects follow regulatory reforms and Masdar’s lowest-tariff bid in the Hijaunesia 2023 program. With Indonesia’s vast water resources, floating solar is key to its energy future, bolstered by Masdar’s regional expansion and global green energy ambitions. For businesses looking to navigate ESG guidelines and achieve carbon net zero goals, see ESG solutions.

LEGO unveils Vietnam’s greenest factory to power Asia-Pacific growth

LEGO Opens Sustainable Factory in Vietnam

LEGO has opened its most sustainable factory in Binh Duong, Vietnam, aiming to run on 100% renewable energy by 2026 using rooftop solar and Vietnam’s first large-scale battery storage. The facility supports LEGO’s Asia-Pacific expansion and includes LEED-certified buildings and inclusive workspaces. Community programs will reach over 60,000 children by 2025. A new distribution center in Dong Nai will enhance supply chain resilience, making this factory a model for sustainable and socially responsible growth in emerging markets.

Dollar struggles amid tariff uncertainty and fed rate cut expectation

Dollar Struggles Amid Tariff and Rate Cut Uncertainty

The dollar struggled on Tuesday, remaining near a three-year low against the euro and a six-month low against the yen. Market focus shifted to U.S. tariff policy uncertainty, with Trump’s recent moves easing some market anxiety but softening the dollar’s safe-haven appeal. The U.S. 10-year Treasury yield eased, reflecting reduced investor confidence in U.S. assets. Fed officials’ dovish comments and expected interest rate cuts added to the uncertainty, with traders pricing in 86 bps of cuts this year.

Zuckerberg defends Meta in landmark antitrust trial over monopoly allegations

Zuckerberg Defends Meta in Antitrust Trial

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg defended the company in a landmark antitrust trial, facing federal allegations of being a monopoly. The FTC accuses Meta of anti-competitive behavior through its ownership of Instagram and WhatsApp. If successful, the FTC seeks to force Meta to divest these platforms. The trial, which could reshape Meta’s future, marks a significant legal challenge. Meta argues that it faces strong competition from platforms like TikTok and YouTube, dismissing the FTC’s case. For companies wishing to accelerate their shift to sustainable practices, see ESG solutions for advice and tools.
