Court blocks Musk’s DOGE from accessing millions of Americans’ private data

A federal judge ruled that Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) unlawfully accessed millions of Americans’ private Social Security data, violating privacy laws. The SSA granted DOGE unfettered access, prompting lawsuits from labor unions and advocacy groups. The court ordered DOGE to delete the data, calling its actions a reckless fishing expedition. The White House defended the move, while critics hailed the ruling as a win for data privacy and government accountability.
