Tabitha Sugumar studied anthropology at UCLA, and will begin her masters in data science at Columbia this fall. She is fascinated by the way politics, economics, history, and culture intertwine, and hopes to use anthropological and data science methods to examine the situations that result. Her interest in sustainability began with concern for wildlife, developed through volunteering with raccoons, birds, and primates. She enjoys reading, traveling, and playing the harp.
