Shahirah Hamid

Shahirah is a Commissioning Editor at 360info based at Monash Malaysia’s Kuala Lmpur campus. She began her career as a broadcast journalist at Malaysia’s free-to-air channel, ntv7. She was a founding team member and writer for the now-defunct #edGY pullout in The Edge Malaysia Weekly. She was also a broadcast journalist for the publication’s web TV, The Edge TV. She moved to corporate communications as a writer at Gamuda Berhad and later on as communications manager at GDP Architects. Prior to 360info, Shahirah was the communication and content programme officer for a non-profit media advocacy outfit, Centre for Independent Journalism (CIJ).
