Dr. Serhan Yalciner - Independent Researcher of Political Violence

Dr. Yalciner conducts independent research on civil conflict, rebel leaders, civilian victimisation, international conflict, leader survival, conflict resolution, and, more broadly, political violence. He is most passionate about the potential individual-level impacts of rebel leaders on civil conflict processes, and the dynamics of recruitment process that influence the duration and outcome of civil war. He holds an MA and a PhD in Political Science from the University of Mississippi, and an MA in International Relations. Serhan speaks Turkish, English, and French.
