Mayesse is a forest engineer with masters and PhD in Soil Science with focus on soil and water management and digital soil mapping. Over the past 10 years working at the Alliance, she has dedicated her research on mapping and monitoring soil spatial variability across the landscapes for efficient soil and water management, soil carbon assessments and hotspots mapping, soil health, and soil and water conservation for improved land use planning, erosion control, and watershed management.
