Martin Purves - Managing Director of the International Pole & Line Foundation

Martin brought a wealth of experience to IPNLF when he joined the association in 2015, having previously worked as a sea-going observer, fisheries scientist, resource manager, and as a consultant on numerous international fisheries projects. Before joining the IPNLF team, he led the Marine Stewardship Council’s (MSC) Southern Africa Program for seven years after establishing the first African office of this fisheries certification and eco-labeling program back in 2008.
