Mario Boccucci is the Head of the UN-REDD Programme Secretariat. Since 2008, the UN-REDD Programme (FAO, UNDP, UNEP) has supported nationally-led REDD+ processes in 64 countries, and continues to promote the informed and meaningful involvement of all stakeholders in the implementation of REDD+ activities agreed under the UNFCCC. UN-REDD’s development goal is to reduce forest emissions and enhance carbon stocks in forests while contributing to national sustainable development.
