This experimental treatment can result in freedom from insulin injections and reversal of complications for people with type 1 diabetes. She is using a giant microscope called the Mesolens, performing unprecedented analysis to assess transplant viability and inform the design of 3D bio-printed tissue. She is a STEM Ambassador, and is passionate about engaging with communities that are often overlooked.
