Katherine Baxter is from the mountains of Colorado. She is currently a PhD candidate in Sociology and a guest lecturer at the University of Edinburgh researching global education practices. She is also the Co-Director and Founder of LIVED, a small NGO working with forcibly displaced youth around the world. She is passionate about education and pedagogy, social change, and eco-justice and enjoys dogs, working with kids, being outdoors, craft beer, folk music, and meaningful connections with strangers.
