Janne van Eerten is Sr. Global Public Affairs Manager at The Ocean Cleanup, a non-profit organization that develops and deploys plastic cleanup technologies, with a mission to rid the world's oceans of plastics. In her role, Janne focuses on government engagements and leads the organization's involvement in global policy and network forums, including the UN Global Plastics Treaty negotiations. Janne holds a BSc in Geography and an MA in International Relations and previously worked at the international department of the City of Amsterdam. She is passionate about bridging global policies with on-the-ground action to address the realities of plastic pollution.
