Jamie Doyle - Lead Clinical Research Coordinator for Fox Chase Cancer Center at Temple University Hospital

Jamie Doyle, MPH, CHES studied surgical technology at CHI Institute after the sudden death of her grandmother. Leading her class and overcoming her fear of hospitals, she began working at Paoli Memorial Hospital where she excelled in the operating room, cross-trained in all surgical services, and specialized in trauma, orthopedics, neuro, and reconstructive surgery. While working two full time jobs, she realized her goal of being the first person in her family to earn a college degree by obtaining a Bachelor's in Bio/Pre-med with a minor in Psychology at Cabrini College. She later went on to earn a Master of Public Health from West Chester University, which led her to an internship at Fox Chase Cancer Center. There she helped develop and implement a process for 100% Inpatient Mortality Review which identified opportunities for improvement in end of life care for cancer patients. After earning her master's and passing a certification exam to be a certified health educator, she secured a position under a Pfizer grant at Fox Chase Cancer Center to help educate community medical oncologists on better ways to help patients with rare metastatic cancers. While under that grant, she was the project manager and co-investigator on multiple behavioral studies for cancer patients and co-authored articles and abstracts on their results. During that time, she was also a caretaker to her father, who suffered from multiple recurrences of rare Grade III malignant meningiomas. Following her grant work, she accepted a position in oncology clinical research, with the goal to help find new ways to fight cancer, and to help save fathers, friends, and family members of others to honor her own father's memory after he lost his eight year battle. Jamie currently is the lead clinical research coordinator for Fox Chase Cancer Center at Temple University Hospital where she is working tirelessly to grow the clinical trial program and offer new cancer therapies for the underserved population. To aid her cause, she now attends Temple University seeking her second graduate degree, a Master of Urban Bioethics.
