Dr. Hazel Partington, Dr. Jean Duckworth

| Dr. Hazel Partington | Dr. Hazel Partington is the course leader for MSc Sustainability, Health and Wellbeing programme. Teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, Hazel has a special interest in building learning communities in online learning settings. With a background of over 20 years in healthcare practice, Hazel has been involved in the education of integrated healthcare practitioners since 1999. These two interests combined in her doctoral thesis: ‘Post-qualification education and professional identity in the contested landscape of Complementary and Alternative Medicine: a case of transformative learning in an online setting’. Hazel is an active qualitative researcher and has contributed to projects in both health and educational research. In terms of sustainability, Hazel leans towards a broad agenda which recognises the interconnections between education and the promotion of cultural and social change

| Dr. Jean Duckworth | Dr. Jean Duckworth has an academic background in law (LLB), holistic healthcare provision (MSc), medical law and bioethics (MA), and completed a PhD entitled ‘Straddling Paradigms: An interpretive hermeneutic exploration of midwives practising homeopathy’. Currently a Senior Lecturer at UCLan, Jean has been influential in the design and delivery of innovative elearning, international, postgraduate courses, and is module leader for a number of research, research ethics and sustainability modules. She enjoys traversing the interface between academia, law, and ethics.
