Ala Oueslati is a feminist blogger, gender equality advocate, and peace activist from Tunisia. Over the last 5 years, he has focused on women’s sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), and women in peace building. Mr. Oueslati has received the 120 Under 40 Family Planning Award, given by Johns Hopkins University and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation as a recognition of his work on family planning and reproductive health. He has experience in public speaking in Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and America, and his focuses are women’s rights, gender equality, peace building, and Middle Eastern and African issues. He addressed the United Nations in June 2018 at the International Human Rights Summit. Previously, Mr. Oueslati worked for the Hickey Center for Interfaith Studies in Rochester, New York, Initiatives of Change in Switzerland, and Planned Parenthood Global in New York. He was also selected as Youth Media Professional by the African Union and Empower Women Global Champion by UN Women.
