What Can You Buy On IMPAKTER ECO?

IMPAKTER ECO sells a diverse range of products across six different categories

COP26, seen by many as our last best chance to address the climate emergency, has come and gone but the sustainability issues remain. Today, the IMPAKTER platform launches its ECO marketplace to give our readers and everyone interested in pursuing a sustainable, eco-conscious lifestyle the means to do it: Over 9,000 eco-friendly and sustainable products vetted and certified by the IMPAKTER Sustainability Index will be on offer.

Every product on ECO is on the marketplace because it has earned either an A (great) or B (good) rating on the IMPAKTER Sustainability Index, a process that you can read about here. This is a guarantee for customers on the ECO marketplace that what they’re buying is not the result of greenwashing or mistreating workers and farmers. The range of products is also broad enough to satisfy every need in the family, pets included. Here’s a quick overview that makes it clear why ECO describes itself as “your one-stop-shop” for sustainable living.

Fashion

For those seeking a sustainable lifestyle, clothes should be an opportunity to make both  a fashion statement and a declaration of protest against the environmental and social injustices of mass consumerism. There is no reason why clothes produced sustainably and responsibly, respecting workers’ rights, cannot also be fashionable. And on IMPAKTER ECO, they are both elegant and thoughtful, produced and transported with a minimum carbon footprint, the way responsible citizens want them to be.

IMPAKTER ECO offers a wide range of clothing and accessories brands for women and men that are built around ethical and sustainable production. Whether made from organic fabric or upcycled materials, or handmade by artisan craftsmen, you can expect great quality clothes made to the highest ethical standard.

Kids

A sustainable lifestyle involves all members of the family, including kids. On IMPAKTER ECO, you’ll  find accessories, clothing, and toys for infants and children designed for comfort and functionality, and made from quality materials such as pima cotton, that are soft and gentle on babies’ skin.

Buying durable sustainable clothes and toys for your children will also help instill mindfulness about their impact on the environment and can teach them good consumer habits, like favouring quality over quantity, and knowing the provenance of products.

Beauty

Beauty products help people feel better about themselves, but they shouldn’t come at a cost to the planet. So much of our beauty routine consists of single use products like cotton pads and disposable razors. By offering more sustainable and plastic-free alternatives, IMPAKTER ECO can help you transition to a zero waste beauty routine.

All the brands on IMPAKTER ECO adhere to the 2013 EU ban on animal testing for cosmetic products and ingredients. This applies to all products for sale within the EU without exception. All our make-up, hair, and skincare products are therefore eco-friendly and cruelty-free so you can feel your best whilst knowing you’re helping the environment.

Home

IMPAKTER ECO has a variety of sustainable products for your home. Whether you’re decorating your house or looking for everyday items like utensils or cleaning products, our marketplace makes living sustainably easy with elegant, functional, and durable products that cater to different tastes and aesthetics.

Pets

Even the animal members of your family can benefit from IMPAKTER ECO. Our pets category includes toys and accessories, such as bowls, beds, and carriers, functionally designed and made using sustainable materials like recyclable polypropylene.

Most toys and accessories are made in countries that don’t have a regulatory body responsible for safeguarding toxin levels in pet products, which can contain high traces of harmful chemicals like polyvinyl chloride, phthalates and lead. This can cause health problems in animals and pollute surface water, making them harmful to fish and other wildlife.

By seeking out the more sustainable option, you are safeguarding your pet’s health and looking out for the environment.

Food and Drink

Modern agriculture and agro-industries have had a devastating effect on the environment and on the whole supply chain, from the farmer in the field to the worker in the supermarket. Shifting away from food with a big carbon footprint, such as meat and dairy, to more sustainable options is a crucial first step in the fight against climate change.

IMPAKTER ECO offers a wide range of sustainably and ethically produced food products that cater to several different diets, such as gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan.

As people become more aware of the need to shift to a sustainable lifestyle, IMPAKTER ECO aims to become a reference point for the eco-conscious consumer, continuously accommodating more brands and products to keep up with growing demand for eco-friendly, quality products.
