Installations that simulate the effects of alterations and singular atmospheric experiments, which engage environment and nature, enhancing its power and beauty; photographs that tell of remote places and impossible situations; crazy curious objects, that seem like a three-dimensional process in Photoshop.
The virtual feeling we have looking at these images turns into real. Subverting the relationship and the perception that we have with the digital phenomenon, overturning its contents to ‘intangible’ that now becomes tangible appearance.
What we perceive as unreal, in fact here is real. This is Supernature.
1. Joschi Herczeg and Daniele Kaehr – Explosion 2
The artist duo creates Light illusions using highly complex pyrotechnics. In their series Explosion, they built a custom-made detonator, which is connected to the cameras and synchronized to snap a photo at the very moment of the explosion.
2. Ferruccio Laviani – “Good Vibrations’
This is not a distorted digital photo- It’s a cabinet that’s been intricately carved to look like one.
Created by Italian designer Ferruccio Laviani’s for furniture brand Fratelli Boffi, the Good Vibrations storage unit was carved from oak by a CNC machine.

Berndnaut Smilde creates clouds using a smoke machine, combined with indoor moisture and dramatic lighting to create an indoor cloud effect.
