Roshaneh Zafar
Ms. Roshaneh Zafar is a graduate of the Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania, USA and also holds a Masters degree in Development Economics from Yale University, USA. She has worked with the World Bank as a women-in-development associate in the water and sanitation sectors. Ms. Zafar founded Pakistan’s first specialized microfinance institution Kashf Foundation in 1996 after a chance meeting with Professor Yunus, and has also founded the Kashf Microfinance Bank in 2008. She has been representing Kashf and Pakistan on many international forums including the World Economic Forum as a Schwab Fellow and has been the recipient of many international and national awards, including Tamgha-i-Imtiaz, one of Pakistan’s highest civilian awards.
