Inga Winkler is the Director of the Working Group on Menstrual Health & Gender Justice and a lecturer at the Institute for the Study of Human Rights, both at Columbia University. She used to be the Legal Adviser to the UN Special Rapporteur on the Human Rights to Water and Sanitation. Since then, Inga has been advocating for greater attention to menstrual health. Her current research focuses on the Sustainable Development Goals and human rights, as well as questions of marginalization, stigma and representation in the context of menstrual health. She is also the co-editor of the forthcoming Handbook on Critical Menstruation Studies.
