Megan E. Corrado is a human rights attorney and serves as the Director of Advocacy with Women for Afghan Women (WAW). Ms. Corrado leads WAW’s policy and advocacy efforts in New York and Washington, DC to promote and expand women’s rights around the world. WAW is the largest women’s rights non-governmental organization in Afghanistan—operating 32 facilities in 14 provinces—and provides vital protection and services to survivors of gender-based violence, including legal, vocational, educational, healthcare, childcare, counseling, and housing assistance.
