London Breed
Mayor London Breed is the 45th Mayor of San Francisco and the first African American woman Mayor in the city’s history. Prior to being elected mayor in June 2018, Mayor Breed served as the President to the San Francisco Board of Supervisors. Mayor Breed’s environmental accomplishments include enacting the strongest Styrofoam ban in the county, as well as drug take back legislation that has kept more than 40 tons of medical waste and prescriptions medicines out of the San Francisco Bay and landfills. She also legislatively championed San Francisco’s clean energy program to advance the city’s goal of a 100% renewable electric grid by 2030 and has helped modernize the city’s public transit fleet to create a cleaner and more reliable public transportation network.
