NSF/ANSI 305: Organic Personal Care Products
Certificate Description
The NSF/ANSI 305 Certification defines labeling and marketing requirements for organic personal care products.
This independent certification is based upon the USDA Organic Standard, but allows for additional processes and ingredients necessary and unique to personal care product effectiveness. The NSF/ANSI 305 certification provides consumers assurance that products with the “contains organic ingredients” claim contains 70 percent minimum organic content.
The certification is developed by NSF International, a nonprofit organization aiming to protect and improve global human health.
