Responsible Recycling Standard for Electronics Recyclers
Certificate Description
R2 certification is a company level certification for electronic recyclers managing used and end-of-life electronics equipment, components and materials based on strategies such as reuse, materials and energy recovery and/or disposal.
The standard requires certified companies to have a policy on SERI is the only multi-stakeholder, collaborative nonprofit organization in the world focused exclusively on minimizing the environmental and health risks posed by used and end-of-life electronics, while also maximizing the social and economic value presented by this equipment.
R2 is managed by SERI, an organization dedicated to creating a world where electronic products are reused and recycled in a way that results in resource preservation, the well-being of the environment, and the health and safety of workers and communities.
