Certificate Description
The Certified Naturally Grown (CNG) certification promotes sustainable agriculture through peer-review certification, grassroots networking, and advocacy.
CNG offers certifications for Produce and Flowers, Apiary, Livestock, Aquaponics, and Mushrooms. Certified Naturally Grown is not affiliated with the USDA National Organic Program.
The certification is developed and managed by the CNG, a private non-profit organization based on the participatory guarantee system (PGS) model that relies on peer reviews in which inspections are typically carried out by other farmers.
