The Lodi Rules certification for Lodi Winegrape Commission’s Sustainable Winegrowing Program is America’s original sustainable viticulture program.
The certificate promotes sustainable management of the entire vineyard ecosystem, including soil and water, business practices, human resources, and pest control with an emphasis on reducing pesticide risk to farm workers, consumers, small aquatic invertebrates, birds, and bees.
Lodi Rules is certified by Protected Harvest, a certifier for verified certification standards are especially focused on reducing the impact of toxic pesticides on the environment.
