Ethical Biotrade Standard (UEBT)
Certificate Description
The Ethical BioTrade Standard defines practices that respect people and biodiversity in the way ingredients from biodiversity are grown, collected, researched, processed and commercialised.
The Standard consists of seven principles covering important social, environmental and economic issues.Companies and other organisations use the Standard to promote good practices in their operations and along their supply chains – all the way to the cultivation or wild collection sites.
The standard is developed by the Union for Ethical BioTrade (UEBT), a non-profit association that promotes sourcing with respect, and works to regenerate nature and secure a better future for people through ethical sourcing of ingredients from biodiversity.
