Ecotourism Kenya Eco-Rating
Certificate Description
Ecotourism Kenya (EK) works to make tourism within Kenya more sustainable and environmentally friendly. Additionally, they are involved in tourism planning, and campaigns, community mobilization and sensitization, product identification and development and environmental/social audits.
The goals of EK are to promote the responsible use of resources in the tourism industry as well as providing guidance for both communities and tourism practitioners.
EK is one part of the Kenya Tourism Federation (KTF) which seeks to unite the seven private sector bodies involved in the tourism industry in Kenya. It also seeks to encourage more ethical and sustainable practices within the tourism industry in Kenya.
