ASC Farm Standards
Certificate Description
The ASC Farm Standards focus on both the environmental and social impact of farming.
Farms must show that they actively minimise their impact on the surrounding natural environment. This extends to careful management of the fish health and resources. The ASC label only appears on food from farms that have been independently assessed and certified as being environmentally and socially responsible.
The standards are developed by the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC), a leading certification scheme for farmed seafood, known as aquaculture.
