UTZ Standard (Rainforest Alliance)
Certificate Description
The UTZ Standard certifies that coffee, tea, cocoa and hazelnuts are produced with fairness and transparency.
The standard operates through two sets of guidelines – the first covers the growing and harvesting process, and the second covers products from the moment they leave the farm to when they arrive on the shelves.
The standard is developed and managed by UTZ which merged with the Rainforest Alliance, an international non-profit organization working at the intersection of business, agriculture, and forests to make responsible business the new normal.
