ISCC EU
Certificate Description
The ISCC EU certification provides proof of compliance with environmental, social and traceability criteria, and qualifies biomass or biofuel companies for legal recognition under the targets set by European regulations for transportation fuels.
It recognizes all EU RED-approved biomass certifications, which provides increased flexibility for biofuel blenders and traders. High risk materials such as wastes certified by other schemes may be accepted by ISCC following an equivalency benchmark conducted by ISCC.
The certification is developed by the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC), an independent multi-stakeholder organisation responsible for the development, surveillance, revision and continuous improvement of the ISCC certification system.
